Heath Shackleford – Marketing Strategy  

Heath Shackleford

Heath Shackleford is an experienced marketer and national thought leader with more than 15 years of varied experience and a master’s degree in mass communications. He is the founder of Good.Must.Grow., a socially responsible marketing consultancy that supports nonprofit causes, social enterprises and organizations that are focused on health + wellness.

Earlier in his career, Heath led strategic communications campaigns for global brands such as Arthur Andersen, Deloitte Consulting and Northwestern Mutual while with top-ten PR firm Ketchum in Chicago. He also has a decade of experience successfully promoting organizations that improve society through the delivery of health and wellness programs to millions of Americans. He’s made the rounds as a sports writer, an adjunct professor and even has experience in such things as hip hop songwriting and calf scrambling (just ask and he’ll explain).

Since founding GmG, Heath has become a regular contributor to Fast Company’s Co.Exist and leads the agency’s efforts to track trends in philanthropy and socially responsible spending via the Conscious Consumer Spending Index.

Forbes’ interest in the performing arts began in high school drama class and deepened as a student of theatre at the University of Central Oklahoma. He worked eight years as a stand-up comedian in the Southwest and wrote comedy skits for radio.
